Mato Grosso - Pantanal

On this independent birding trip we explored the Pantanal by driving the Trans-Pantanal ‘highway’ (a dirt road) in search of cats and birds. It wasn’t the right time of year for jaguar, but we saw plenty of ocelot and jaguarundi.
We then explored the trails of the Jardim da Amazonia Lodge. We saw 248 species in 8 days in the region.
